Common questions
Is a single bed big enough for an adult?
A single is 90×190cm (3ft) — fine for children, teens and shorter adults, and the standard choice for guest and box rooms. A taller adult or anyone who moves in their sleep will feel the 90cm width. If it’s a permanent adult bed with room to spare, most people step up to a small double (120cm).
Single vs small double — which should I choose?
Both suit one sleeper. A single (90cm) fits tight box rooms, bunk-style layouts and kids’ rooms. A small double (120cm) adds 30cm of width for an adult who wants more room to stretch, but needs roughly 60cm more floor space. If the room is under about 2.5m wide, the single is the safer fit.
Will a standard single mattress fit this frame?
Yes. The frame takes any UK/Irish standard single mattress at 90×190cm (3ft) — the most widely stocked size in Ireland, so replacements are easy to find. It’s built from solid Hevea Maple hardwood with no MDF or veneer, and delivery includes full in-room assembly, so you only need to supply the mattress.
