Heava's is a solid hardwood end-of-bed bench, designed in Ireland, €375. It matches our bed frames and bedside lockers. One bench, three jobs: somewhere to sit, to land tomorrow's clothes, and to hold a tray or a throw. Solid hardwood takes the weight without flexing.

What size bed does the bench suit?

At 136cm long it sits neatly across the foot of a double, king or super king bed, framing the end of the bed without overhanging. It stands 41cm tall and just 31cm deep, so it offers a comfortable perch height while keeping the walkway around the bed clear. For a smaller bed you can also place it under a window as a standalone seat.

Is it strong enough to sit on?

Yes. It is built from solid Hevea Maple hardwood throughout, a dense, hard-wearing timber that easily takes an adult's weight for sitting, dressing or pulling on shoes. There is no MDF, veneer or particleboard anywhere in it. This buy-once construction is made to stay solid and squeak-free through years of daily use at the foot of the bed.

What finishes are available and what do they pair with?

The bench comes in Natural, a soft pale timber tone, or Walnut, a warmer, deeper brown. Both are designed to coordinate with the Heava bed frames and bedside drawer, so you can match the whole room in one finish. Natural suits light, airy schemes while Walnut adds contrast against pale bedding and walls.

How is it delivered?

Delivery is free across Ireland and includes full in-room assembly, so the bench is placed and checked wherever you want it at the foot of your bed. Most orders arrive within 7 to 14 days. There is no flat-pack to wrestle with — our team handles the build and removes all packaging before they leave.
