The Solid Wood Dining Table with Fluted Legs is a full-size dining table crafted from solid Hevea Maple hardwood and designed in Ireland. Measuring 220×95×75cm, it comfortably seats eight, making it a natural centrepiece for family homes and open-plan kitchen-diners. The vertical fluting on each leg adds quiet detail and craft without overstatement. There is no MDF, veneer or particleboard here, only solid timber finished in warm Natural or deeper Walnut. How many people does this table seat?
At 220cm long and 95cm wide, it comfortably seats eight for everyday dining, with room for place settings and shared platters down the centre. The generous width suits larger gatherings, and you can seat guests at both ends when hosting. Will it fit my dining room?
The table measures 220×95×75cm. As a guide, allow roughly 90–100cm of clearance around each side so chairs can pull out and people can move freely, meaning a room of about 4m by 2.8m is ideal. If space is tighter, our 180cm Metal Base table seats six in a smaller footprint.
Is this solid wood or veneered?
It is solid Hevea Maple hardwood throughout, including the fluted legs, with no MDF, veneer or particleboard anywhere in its construction. Solid timber can be sanded and refinished over the years rather than chipping to reveal a different material underneath, which is why it holds up to daily family use and earns its place as a buy-once piece.
What finishes are available and how do I care for it?
Choose warm Natural to keep the pale Hevea Maple tone, or Walnut for a richer, darker look. To care for it, wipe spills promptly with a soft, slightly damp cloth, avoid harsh chemicals and standing water, and use mats under hot dishes. Keeping it out of direct, prolonged sunlight helps the finish stay even over time.
